BMW has developed this electric trailer brake controller to work in combination with the approved BMW Accessory Trailer Hitch Kits. (PN: 82 11 0 420 082). I ship UPS ground to continential USA only. NOTE: This item controls the trailer BRAKES not the trailer LIGHTS! NOTE: Do not confuse this item with the Trailer Lamp control module that is required to make the trailer running and stop lights work. The Lamp control module must be added when installing a hitch kit. The Lamp control module does NOT operate the trailer brakes. After adding the Lamp control module the vehicle must be programmed. This item does not require re-programming.
